6They shall make the ephod of gold, blue and purple, scarlet-of-the-worm and fine-twined-linen, work of a designer.7It will have two shoulder pieces joined to its two ends, and it will be joined.8The waistband of the ephod that is on it shall be of the same workmanship: gold, blue, purple, and scarlet of worm, and fine twisted linen.9You shall take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel.10Six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the six remaining on the second stone, according to their generations.11You shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel, like the work of a stone-engraver or seal-engraver; you shall make settings of gold for them.12You shall set the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel. And Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial.13You shall make a gold setting.14You shall make two chains of pure gold, from settings, as cordwork, and you shall put the chains of cords on the settings.
