Terms of Service

Last Updated: May 25, 2025

Welcome to the Anselm Project! These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Use of Generated Content

We encourage you to make full use of the reports and data generated through your use of the Anselm Project ("Generated Content"). You are permitted to:

  • Share your Generated Content (reports, analyses, etc.) with others without restriction.
  • Use your Generated Content for personal study, teaching, sermon preparation, research, or any other lawful purpose.
  • Modify or adapt your Generated Content as you see fit.

The Anselm Project grants you a broad license to use the specific reports and data you generate through the service.

Account Responsibilities and Restrictions

To maintain the integrity and fair use of the Anselm Project, you agree to the following:

  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any other credentials used to access your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Individual Use Only: Your Anselm Project account is for your individual use. You agree not to share your login credentials (username and password) with any other person or entity to allow them to access the service through your account.
  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering for an account.

Service Availability and Modification

We strive to keep the Anselm Project operational and to provide a valuable service. However, we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen circumstances.

Disclaimers Regarding AI-Generated Content

The reports and analyses provided by the Anselm Project are generated by artificial intelligence. While we have extensively tested the system for accuracy and theological soundness, please be aware of the following:

  • The Generated Content is provided "as-is" and "as-available" without any warranties, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or infallibility of the Generated Content. AI, while advanced, can sometimes produce unexpected or incomplete information.
  • The Service is intended as a tool to aid in study and preparation. It should not replace your own critical engagement with Scripture, personal discernment, or the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to use the Anselm Project as one resource among many in your theological exploration.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Anselm Project (and its developer) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Credits and Subscriptions

The Anselm Project uses a credit system to access report generation features. The terms regarding the purchase, use, and expiration of subscription credits and purchased credits are detailed on our "Subscribe" and "Buy Credits" pages. By purchasing or using credits, you agree to these terms. We reserve the right to modify the credit system and pricing with reasonable notice.

Refund Policy

General Policy: Payments for credit purchases and subscriptions are generally non-refundable. We encourage users to make use of any free trial or free usage tiers (if offered) to evaluate the service before committing to a purchase.

Service Failures: In the event that a credit is deducted for a report generation that fails due to a system error on our part, that credit will typically be refunded to your account automatically. If you believe a credit was consumed for a failed report and not automatically refunded, please contact us at info@anselm-project.com with details of the issue for a review.

Account Violations: No refunds of any kind (for credits or subscription fees) will be issued for accounts terminated due to violations of these Terms of Service, including but not limited to the prohibition on account sharing.

Content Dissatisfaction: As stated in our Disclaimers (Section 4), the content generated by the Anselm Project is AI-produced. Refunds will generally not be issued based on dissatisfaction with the subjective quality or specific interpretations within a successfully generated report, as the service rendered is the generation process and delivery of the report.

Subscription Cancellations: You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged for subsequent periods. No refunds or credits will be provided for partially used subscription periods.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms (especially the prohibition on account sharing).

You may also choose to stop using the Service at any time. Termination of your account does not relieve you of any outstanding payment obligations if applicable.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on our website. If a revision, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you (for example, via email to the address associated with your account or by posting a notice on the Service). By continuing to access or use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State/Country, e.g., the State of Maryland, United States], without regard to its conflict of law principles.
