7Moses took the tent and pitched it for himself outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the Tent of Meeting. And everyone who sought the LORD went out to the Tent of Meeting, which was outside the camp.8Whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people would rise and stand, each man at the entrance of his tent, and they would look after Moses until he entered the tent.9Whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of the cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and it would speak with Moses.10All the people saw the pillar of the cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, and all the people arose and bowed down, each man at the entrance of his tent.11The LORD spoke to Moses face to face, just as a man speaks to his companion. And he returned to the camp, but his servant Joshua son of Nun, a youth, did not depart from the midst of the tent.
