1Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood—two cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.2He overlaid it with pure gold, inside and outside, and made a gold rim for it all around.3He cast four gold rings for it on its four feet—two rings on one side and two rings on the other side.4He made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold.5He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark.6He made the mercy seat of pure gold. It was two cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.7He made two cherubim of gold, beaten work. He made them from the two ends of the mercy seat.8One cherub from one end and one cherub from the other end. From the mercy seat he made the cherubim from its two ends.9The cherubim had wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces were toward each other, toward the mercy seat. The faces of the cherubim were toward it.
